Hi guys,

I am planning on going in for the September 2019 intake for Graduate diploma. I completed my BE- mechanical in July 2016 and have been working at a core mechanical company form November 2016 to date. I am planning on resigning in January 2019. I want to know if my student visa application can be rejected because I would be unemployed from January 2019 to september 2019?

Don't resign, apply your visa first and wait for final decision, it will make your case stronger that you are still working.

Thank you @Lovesahota92 . I guess it is always better to be working while applying for visa. Have completed 2 years work experience and I tired of my work as it's very hectic and for long hours. I want to resign at the earliest. What could be the chances of getting my visa rejected

I can't say the chances because it solely depends on the vo that will process your application and if you want to resign. Get atleast experience certificate from them stating that you worked from this time to this time. All the best.

I was thinking of resigning and then to join a course or manage to secure a temporary job at my hometown for a few months. Will that help my case?
