They can reach out at any stage. One cannot specifically identify whether that is done at IP1 or IP2. The reason is that IP1 and IP2 are terms invented by people on this forum. They aren’t real terms. My attorney has years of experience in immigration and he told me that if they do want to reach out to employers, it can literally happen at any stage. He’s seen clients whose employers have been contacted even if clients’ profile shows “We have not started your background check” (which people refer to as IP1). And he has also seen clients whose employers have been contacted shortly after the background check starts (which people refer to as IP2). There are no clear patterns to this. Thanks for sharing your valuable input in this. I am also worried because in my previous otgorganisat my manager left the job. If they will going to verify then it will be big trouble for me. At which stage they are going to verify experience means IP1 or IP2. Any idea on this.
Did u receive any updates in your account before the ppr?The incorrect letter was asking for a RPRF, immigration medical and other info we submitted already. It seems like it was a sponsor PR letter sent in error. Sent an email to the VO and the correct letter showed up this morning via the online account.
For others asking, the category is FSW-O, family of 4. If you can't see the signature my timeline is below:
Aor Aug 13th
Meds Sep 1
IP1 Sep 1
IP2 Nov 9-15th as I hadn't checked the account
PPR Nov 30th
I have asked the query to general people out here, if you do not wish to answer you better stay out of it. I don't think this forum just belongs to u, anyone can ask any query, So please if u do not wish to ans don't do it but do not degrade others.I don't understand you people. You call CIC and get all these info then come back here to ask NON CIC members when you'll get PPR? If we knew we would be working for CIC or making a killing as fortune tellers
Hey there,I have asked the query to general people out here, if you do not wish to answer you better stay out of it. I don't think this forum just belongs to u, anyone can ask any query, So please if u do not wish to ans don't do it but do not degrade others.
+1Hey there,
You don't have to mind what he said. If you do a little homework and read across the different threads you would realize your question is the most difficult one and we all are looking an answer for it. People on the forum have gained whatever speculation capability they have , based on experience of other people and not through some consistent rulebook protocol. So , you may get to hear what you want to hear ,but that may not be true for your case. Your file is another unique application for IRCC , with its own simplicities and complexities.
To add , lately , IP2 to PPR timeline is also a little unpredictable and earlier trends are being beaten by unprecedented delays , which can be due to huge influx of ITA applications.
So we don't have a PPR predictor here , we just have bunch of anxious dreamers , who too have their expectations shattered with every passing day , as someone on the forum earlier told them something they wanted to hear " you will get it soon"
To conclude , I would say , everyone on this forum is just like you , looking for an answer , which no one has but still feels good when someone gives them a hypothetical time frame and they have some more time to keep the hopes alive. This is how we have reached so far and hopefully would reach our destiny as well .
So cheer up and keep praying that we all get it " soon"
Cheers!
Brother,I've given up hopes that I will hear ANYTHING from CIC in my lifetime. Hope they give PR to my great great great grand children.
In my lifetime, my only wish is to see the biometrics status updated (done biometrics in Sept, status still shows "not done". Filled a form to tell them, they said its all fine and things don't always get updated)…
This is a really great brother...you passed the most crucial part of your application.Got my GCMS notes just now
Eligibility: Recommend passed
Criminality: Passed
Security: Not started
Info sharing: In progress (whats this???)
I'm assuming security would take a month or two? Looks like I'm within the 6 months time frame (hopefully)
Thanks mate! This is a really great brother...you passed the most crucial part of your application.
Could you tell me when did you apply for GCMS and how long does it take to received? Also is this note carrying all latest info? Suppose you ordered on Nov and received in Dec, does this note has dec latest info as well or only before the generated date info???
Please kindly share...I am passing 30 days today for my notes.
Thank You very much for your valuable input. They can reach out at any stage. One cannot specifically identify whether that is done at IP1 or IP2. Also, the online statuses aren’t always up to date. Sometimes, your background check may have started but the online status doesn’t reflect it for a few weeks/days. Sometimes, the background check starts (the so-called IP2) and stays in that state for months. So don’t read too much into those online statuses.
