How soon are you getting married? Have you lived together for at least one year continuously?

We have been dating for more than 2 years but we 've been living together for 3 months. We were planning to get married in August 2019 because I need to start working and save money

In that case you will need to qualify for a work permit on your own which won't necessarily be easy.

If you can secure a job offer from an employer in Canada as a registered nurse, then you can apply for a work permit without having your employer go through the LMIA process (because the registered nurse job falls under NAFTA). This is really your most realistic option for getting a work permit.

So the first step is to find an employer willing to hire you and support you in getting a work permit.

Can I become "illegal " after a certain time here without working? I ve been here 3 months already. If so, what can I do to prevent becoming "illegal"?
Thank you so much

If there is no stamp in your passport with a specific date written in, you were allowed into Canada for six months. You need to apply to extend your stay in Canada before that six months is up. Otherwise you will fall out of status in Canada (i.e. become illegal). You really want to avoid doing that.
