I don't think that's true. I got my COPR in April, and I landed on 29-Sept. But I did not get a request for photo. I think its got to do more with the photo not being to the specifications. If this is true then this is so stupid. That photo is going to be on that PR card for 5 years, what difference do a few months make? Also they should then not issue COPR for more than 6 months or should request new photos for somebody who landed after 6 months.
I landed just inside of 6 months - they should have requested new photos at the time of landing since they already know it takes more than 50 days to process PR cards. Honestly, waiting for PR cards has been the most frustrating part of the whole process. I will be livid if I get photo requests for this reason.
Ya people from Sept end are getting the cards now. So in all probability you won’t get the cards by Christmas. But enjoy the white Christmas in Canada.I landed on October 26. No PR card. No ghost update. Nothing. Processing time during my landing interview was 47 days so still within that timeframe. I provided photos at the time of the landing interview in Vancouver. Current wait times are 50 days. Was planning on going away for Christmas but I guess I am staying put.
Even if you get her card tomorrow how are you going to deliver it to her in US in 3 days. I think you should have gone with the PRTD option. Why take chances.I just recieved my PR card which they dispatch on 27 nov. But they just sent mine not my wife. Really disappointed how they handle these application. wife has to come back from States in 3 days.
Anybody experience like that?
There is a thing which is overnight mail. if you havent heard of thatEven if you get her card tomorrow how are you going to deliver it to her in US in 3 days. I think you should have gone with the PRTD option. Why take chances.
Ok all the best...There is a thing which is overnight mail. if you havent heard of that
The photo specifications on CIC website clearly states the photos need to be taken within six months. so it could be one of the reasons for rejection. mine was take on 30th Dec 2017 and i landed on 5th Oct. got photo request on 30 th Nov 2018. so mine was clearly over 6 months old.Card delivered in 2 days! Wow...
In my case I only got a photo request for myself in my email. Then i submitted a web form for my spouse and child coz i was guessing what if i get a photo request for them after some days. and I got an email (reply to web form ) within 1 day that new photos need to be submitted for my spouse and child. what i would suggest is if you do not have any ghost update/ or you cannot call and your landing date is already 50 days + submit a web form to know the status. it takes a few minutes only.Photo request letter for kids sent via post is on kid's name or addressed to main applicant? Can somebody plz tell me.
Actually there is a letter I have received in ups box on my name. And also cic is supposed to send photo request mail for my son. I have hired ups. So I am trying to figure out if the letter ups got is my card or his photo request .It is addressed to my name. I landed on 26sept in Toronto and card was dispatched on 28 Dec.In my case I only got a photo request for myself in my email.
