I need to know hot to find out if I am still a landed immigrant. How can I find out?

I am American, my husband is canadian and so is my daughter. WE applied for residency about 10 yrs ago, and "landed" in Vancouver airport, and they told me that after achieving "landed immigrant"status I was a resident as long as I was living with my canadian husband wherever he lived in the world.
We did not move to Canada, and went back to the US where we live now.

Now we are wanting to live in Canada. I need to find out if I am a resident of Canada. Who do I call?
Thanks. M.Singler

There's no need to call anyone.

There is a residency requirement you have to meet in order to maintain your PR status (i.e. keep it valid). However there is an exception to this rule if you are living outside of Canada with a Canadian spouse. Since you have been living outside of Canada with your Canadian husband, your PR status and that of your daughter is still valid (I'm assuming your daughter is still a minor and under 22). This means your PR status has been maintained and you can move to Canada.
