Hi all,
My sister is 40,single and employed. She lives in India.I would like to invite her to visit Canada.

But I’m scared her visa might be rejected because of her single status( immigration might think she would find a spouse there for the sake of settling in Canada).

Also all of us are permanent residents here except my sister ,back home. She definitely has a strong reason to visit her family.

What are the ties/compelling reasons she could show to satisfy the immigration that she would return back to her home country after the visit.

I am a permanent resident,employed as well.

Any helpful answers are welcome.

A good paying job she’s been in for several years.

Her single status is not a factor in her possibly not getting a TRV, but because the rest of her family are PRs in Canada.

Thanks for the reply.

But that’s the reason she would visit us,here. We cannot fly together it would be so expensive,it’s 4 of us.

Her visit would mostly be sight seeing,we were planning to send her an invitation next summer,as she already got a refusal a month ago.

You must understand that IRCC doesn’t care why she wants to visit Canada. They care that she has to leave Canada after her visit. Those are the ties outside Canada she has to prove. Her entire family being in Canada establishes a bigger tie to Canada, making it more likely that she will want to overstay.

Since you’re a PR and you want her to visit next summer, you might as well order her GCMS notes so you can understand better why she was refused.
