BSF186 and BSF186a Help

Hello All!

I have been granted permanent residence and will be moving soon, but I have two questions related to the BSF186 forms that I have not been able to find online.

1) How do you determine the value of your items?
2) Should things be listed individually, like Shirts $200, Jackets $200, Computer Monitor $200 or can you group things like Clothing $2000, Computer equipment, $2000, ect?

Hey Hartfan,

I've crossed the border now so I can help.

1) The value is based on resale. So whatever you think you can sell it for in $CAD
2) You can group things together like: Clothing, Bed & Bath Supplies, Kitchenware and Utensils, ect.
3) BSF186 is for whats coming with you. BSF186A is for what is following
