Father unknown

Hi everyone,

I am helping my sister-in-law, husband and daughter use the AIPP program to come to Canada. The husband is not the father of the 8 year old and the Philippine birth certificate says "father unknown". Is there more that she needs to do to prove she cannot contact the father? He was out of the picture before birth of child and she has no idea where he is.

She needs to show documentation from the Phillipines regarding the laws about illegitimate children and custody. If you search the forum, there are several threads about it. I'll try to find one later.
