My spouse to be lives in Canada and he is going to come down and marry me and then we are going to return to Canada. We were going to get me a visitor visa and then apply inland once we are in Canada. is this a good way to go a crossed or is there a better way? We will also have the fees paid for the application and the application completed and ready to send.

i would suggest applying for a visitor visa before making all these plans. it isnt as simple as apply and receive...

IF you are approved, once you land to VISIT in canada, you can advise of your intent -- better to be honest, always

You are jumping the gun in getting your inland application completed. You are best to wait until you get your visitor visa first and then enter Canada before submitting any inland application. You can then submit your updated inland application once you are living inside Canada. If you are denied visitor visa, the inland application is moot since you would not be in Canada. Your fiancé would then have to submit a new outland application.

Can I just cross and tell them we got married and plan to apply for PR once we are over? Or is there necessary steps before this?

You need to follow proper chanels to enter canada... you can say what you want to cbsa - you have to convince them to allow you entry. I suggest doing some reasesrch before making elaborate plans

Well this is why I am asking questions on here....to find those proper channels. I've been on the CIC site and reading on what to do. Nothing is very specific on crossing over after marrying a Canadian hence why I'm here

Marrying a Canadian does not give you any special treatment or ability to enter Canada. You still need to get visitor visa. In fact, it gets much harder to get visitor visa after getting married since you would have stronger ties to Canada through your spouse than to your home country. IRCC expects you to leave Canada when issued a visa. Being married to Canadian convinces them more likely that you won't leave Canada after entering. Chances of visa denial is high. After all a visitor visa is for temporary stay, not permanently.

I suggest that you apply for visitor visa before getting married. Once you get visa, you can get married, enter Canada and apply for PR once you get in.

its quite explicit that you cannot enter canada WITHOUT a visa or an ETA depending on where you are from....
