Scoring 9+ in CELPIP writing. Is there anyone who has?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there's anyone who scored 9+ in CELPIP writing? If yes, could you guys share your tips?

I took CELPIP twice.

1st attempt: L10 R11 W8 S8

2nd attempt: L11 R12 W8 S10.

For some reason I can't get past 8 in writing... It's just 1 point... Since they don't provide feedback I can't understand what is wrong with my writing. Any tips?

Hey, yes I tried. First time speaking changed from 8 to 9. Writing remained the same.

Second time, writing didn't change. I have register for IELTS, taking it in December. But I believe CELPIP is way easier... Just don't know how to get that 1 point in writing which is crucial for my immigration application...

There is a channel on Youtube, which gives some ideas. I wonder if you have used them.

Another thing I can come up with is to get a native speaker to write them and compare it to what you write.

I couldn't figure out this part either.

Also, have you bought their last test pack? I have read a lot of questions come from there.

For my second attempt I memorized some of the sentences/phrases that he had recommended. For example: "Thank you for a chance to provide input on this issue" etc... And still got an 8 in writing... The first time I took CELPIP in task 2 I even put "Dear Survey Administrator" which is a big mistake since it's an essay but ended up getting 8... So... CRAZY.

No idea what is wrong. Will try to look for someone who could help me with writing...

I hope it works out for you! Maybe you can ask a native speaker to help you with your writing part ... Or hire a tutor to do that...

Hey, I need to get 10 in all 4 aspects to have any chance of PR here. I got 8 in writing... I am a native English speaker too and I have advanced English skills. I don't get the rating and yea, I agree it is a pain there is no feedback on what you did wrong on what questions etc.
