Hi,
I am currently in canada. My lawyer applied for lmia approval on 27 july 2018. Its been 4 months now. I want to know how much time they would take to approve. I am really getting worried now. Please help with your experience.

I am on student visa. I have no contact with the employer, my agent is doing everything, I have visa only until feb. I could not complete my studies due to some problems so getting WP this way.So,please help me regarding this.

You have had no contact with the employer? Did you actually apply for a job? This is sounding like a scam, as the agent cannot get you an LMIA, as I said the employer have to get this.

If it's over 90 days since you stopped school, you are probably out of status as your student visa will have been cancelled.

The agent is in contact with the employer. He said the employer has applied for it and waiting for reply. So,Please tell if it takes more than 4 months to get a reply.

I guess what everyone finds strange is that you have a job offer but have no contact with the employer maybe not even an interview so how does the employer know you are the right person for the job ?. Usually when you hear of this scenario it turns out to be a scam but hey if you are happy and the employer is happy to employ you without any contact then guess always a first time for anything.

I still think it sounds extremely dodgy, but if the OP is happy then fair enough.
