My wife moved from Karachi to Lahore, so I'm already planning to get two PCC for her. Which police station exactly do you have to go in Karachi to get PCC? (My wife used to live in Phase IV).
By the way, what stage have you reached? I heard that spousal applications take prolonged time for processing.
I have a Nov 6h AOR so it has barely been a week. My hunch is that family applications take a longer time but a guy in one of the other threads said that is not entirely true. I suppose nobody can be sure but i reckon that it takes a longer time to process family applications. It also depends how many different places you have lived (i have lived in many).

I am in Phase VI, just next to Phase IV. She should go to the defence police station to get her police certificate. It is significantly easier to get from Karachi than it is to get from lahore. I didn't give a lahore PCC even though i studied there. The rule is that you should give PCCs for places where you have had a permanent address. So I have only permanently lived in Karachi, even though i went to study in lahore for 2 years.

Alright. That's really helpful. Hope you get through the process soon. Talk to you later!

Assalamu Alaikum all,

Hope you're all doing well. I wanted to inquire about the procedure of applying for Express Entry as I don't know the entirety of it. I googled and it lead me to this forum. And seeing the cooperative nature of the members here is quite assuring. I went through the pages and learned a bit about the procedure however, there were quite a few acronyms that were beyond my comprehension.

I'm currently at the start as I have only attested my Bachelor degree from HEC. Do I have to apply for WES now? And I intend to take IELTS soon. If anyone could please guide me in this regard I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Tj

The next steps are to get ECA done and get minimum CLB 9 in IELTS. Once you're done with that, you can open EE account as long as you have checked your eligibility.

Hi. I need help.
My EE profile was successfully accepted and I was in the pool. I recently tried to update my profile by adding another work experience with another noc and after submission I found that my profile was ineligible and then i couldn't revert the changes as my profile got freeze. Well i made another profile with all the details again and now i have got another EE profile number and job seeker code. Now the thing is that i have applied for some of the pnp's by submitting the Expression of Interest with my old EE and job seeker numbers (which is now ineligible) . Please tell me do I have to again submit EOI with the new details or the old ones will work?

Yes man. You can't have two separate express entry profiles running at the same time. Since the new account is the active one, try first to see if CIC can help you in updating the new account information, otherwise you may have to repeat the process.

Hi Guys, I am from Pakistan but lived in Dubai at the time of application, I applied on my own without any consultant and just recently got my passport request. Feel free to ask any questions. However, please note I won't be able to answer any ECA/WES related to Pakistani degrees queries.
Hi, one thing I wanna ask is that did you only have 2 years of experience or you just claimed point for only those 2 years and you have had job experience besides those years?

Yes, I had more experience but only decided to claim points for 2 years because getting reference letter from these suckers in UAE was almost impossible.

Lol that's right bro. I have got 4 years' experience but only wanna claim 2 years'. Was worried whether VO might get suspicious as to why am I not claiming points for that experience, but you have given me hope that I'll be okay :)

Hi guys,

I need some information, preferably an applicant from Lahore would have better location specific responses for some queries. I've noticed that there is a lack of proper information about below queries since most of the applicants are single.

1) Is it important to have correct current/ permanent addresses on NICOP prior to applying for PCC?

2) Has someone with a spousal application completed the name-change affidavit/ other supporting docs to justify the pre-marriage name of their spouse on ECA report and other documents? I'm in UAE and can only go to Pakistan for few days so I need exact format if someone can share the complete document (without personal details). Our MRC from NADRA only gives my wife's pre-marriage name and not her new name with my surname. There is no document that has her both names and I also don't have her pre-marriage name passport copy to attach as supporting document.

3) Some people have mentioned that their application got rejected/ delayed because in their spousal application, they only attached MRC and not documents like Urdu Nikahnama, English notarized translation and notarized copy of that English translation. I can't really find any mention of that officially but if someone has got it done, please let me know the path you followed in detail.

4) I don't have an ITA right now but I want to get as much done pre-ITA. To this end, I'm thinking of having the PCCs for Pakistan prepared through family since I work in UAE now. However, I also visit Pakistan from time to time on business trips to various cities for couple of weeks at a time. If I get a PCCs for Pakistan prepared now, would they still stay valid if I continue my week long business trips after that? Someone said that the PCC would become invalid because I'll be visiting Pakistan again after obtaining the PCC.
