Inland spousal sponsorship, how to land once approved

Hi guys

My husband went through the usual Permanent Residency application from outside Canada and is now working here. He has applied for a spousal sponsorship for me, while I am in Canada with him.

I just wanted to find out, when your permanent residency gets approved and you're in Canada, do you have to leave the country and come back in to "land", as if you would when you were applying from outside the country? How do you go through "immigration" when you are already in the country?

It depends if you apply outland from inside canada or inland.

If you apply outland from inside Canada you can flagpole (leave the country and come back) or book a landing appointment at a designated office inside Canada.

If you apply inland you will be sent an inland appointment time.
