Living and social disablity Quebec

My husband family sponsored me to move to Quebec. On October 30th, 2018 I was accepted. I move in that very day. We followed the rules we told last resort social assistance Quebec. They wanted to cut his money because I had my social disability coming from the usa. That can not happen my money never went to him agreement we had. I pay my us bills and my stuff here. He pays his rent and bills. If they cut he can not make bills. We realize I should have went to his parents first and stayed there as long as he is on social aid. So November 17th, 2018 I moved out. Before this we never lived together. I just came for visits. So now I am at his parents. I sometime soon I will just visit him during the day. As of today my husband is trying to get his money back. We have all our letters I am off his rent lease. His mom give a letter for proof. SocIal aid is not asking for our bank statements why is someone from sponorship immigration people still asking for that? We live separate now and I only have my american bank account. Would he go back to his own money not being cut? Any advice would be helpful thank you.

You used to live with your husband and there is nothing stopping you from living with him again (even if you are not on the lease). I suspect they will not give him his full amount back. Your husband should contact the disability / social services office to find out.

They cut his money because you were living together.

They may assume that you moved out just so that he could get more money.

Well yes it was causing lots of fights. My husband knew my money from day one could not go to him. I need my money for my US things and somethings here and he needs his to pay his own rent and bills and food. I do not see why married couples can not live apart. My Grandfather and grandmother are married and have lived apart for over 30 years over 21 hours away from each other.
