Hi, is it normal that after 4 months my application eligibility hasnt been initiated according to Ralph email. My VO office is Vienna.
The eligibility takes place in 2 stages, first an analyst or an assistant will review your documents and make a recommendation, and then an officer will make a final decision based on the recommendation. By this time the first review is done.

There has been a trend to contact MP Ralph Goodale's office to enquire about the status of the application, which will son become an issue and stop, especially when people are doing it way before they exceed the 6 months processing time frame. The 6 months processing time frame starts from the day the application passes R10. The MPs have a direct line with IRCC and IRCC has to provide the information within 24 hours, and this is for most federal agencies, but it is for the constituents, and not to replace the regular modes of contacting IRCC.

And very soon people will start getting this response, https://mgerretsen.liberal.ca/mp-service/citizenship-immigration/ as it happened with the office of Gerretsen.

The only way to know the exact status is through GCMS notes, they are detailed and provide an in-depth overview of the processing, or you can wait it out since you have not yet passed the 6 months mark. Everything else is just speculation.

See:

MPs and MP constituency assistants
Paragraph 8(2)(g) of the Privacy Act permits a government institution to disclose personal information "to a Member of Parliament for the purpose of assisting the individual to whom the information relates in resolving a problem."

MPs usually delegate constituency business to constituency assistants. These assistants request personal information on the behalf of MPs. IRCC offices may release personal information to constituency assistants provided it is clear that MPs have designated them for this purpose.

Hi ,
congrats for you PPR and all the best for the future.

I was curious about this part "immediately mailed the visa officer to trigger PPR mail". How did this was done?
When I talked to agent and she told me that your PPR mail was sent way back.. she herself said since your consultant didn't inform you I will immediately write to the visa officer requesting him to trigger PPR mail again which might take a week but was received next day itself

Order around 10th to15th Dec, most probably you will get a PPR by then or at least will have a report on work done just before holidays.
That makes sense.
Ordering on the 10th of December will mean ordering on the 5th month post AOR.
I hope the PPR will come before then.

Do you know much about the review required status? Alot of us are worried it means they are skeptical of our eligibility and could take up to a year.

Not necessarily. Review required is merely the assistant or analyst deferring a decision to the officer before making a final determination. If your employment is too complicated, out of the norm, or the documents are not clear, have some issues, they all lead to review required.

Ok, but it means they are unsure because otherwise it would be 'recommended pass?' So not necessarilly a bad thing but not the best? Do you have any idea how common this is and also how long the wait averages from this point?

"So not necessarily a bad thing but not the best" - that is correct. When you request your next set of GCMS notes, the review should be passed by the officer for most applicants, unless there was something advises in the notes entered by the analyst.

Can't say much about the timeframe as its all over the place and depends on the VO, but most applicants should see eligibility passed after review required within 3-6 weeks.

Hello everyone. Is it just me or are there people who actually want a mail from CIC or CPC saying it out loud like " hey congratulations, we have just stamped your passport with PR". But no, all you get is, a passport request, never saying that your application got approved. And then after I sent my passport, the status on profile changed to your application has been approved. No separate pdf, no letter, nothing. Just a change in status of "final decision". I mean, lets be more expressive, CPCO!:p:D:D

Hi guys,

Great news! I got my COPR email on 15 November!

AOR 13 July 2018
IP2

But now I need some advice... I have to submit documents on MyCIC, but I can't figure out how. On my MyCIC profile it still says:

Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Help - Review of eligibility
Review of medical results - You passed the medical exam. Help - Review of medical results
Review of additional documents - We do not need additional documents. Help - Review of additional documents
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Interview
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. Help - Biometrics
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. Help - Background check
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

So how do I actually upload the passport docs etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

What about when the call agent says your application is in queue to be reviewed by an officer? Is this the 1st or 2nd stage as you stated earlier? And is it bad news? Thanks

Are you talking of submitting your passport (travel document)? If that's what you're asking about, you're to submit to a visa office as specified in the passport request letter not online.

Hi tobs,

Yes, I am referring so submitting a copy of my passport, which is what is required for visa exempt countries.

Actually in the email it specifically says to submit all documentation except my passport photos on MyCiC account.

"For citizens using MyCIC AND from a country that is exempt from obtaining a visa to Canada –

Please mail/courier only your photos (see ‘STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS’ above). All other information must be uploaded to your MyCIC account."

Essentially I'm trying to find where I upload the doc.
