Hi all

I'm doing research on Express Entry - FSW; and my personal experience is I spent 5 years for PhD program in USA (research assistant, and have pay check), but then I quit the PhD, only get Master. Then I transfer to another major having my second Master degree.

So for my special case, would my RA experiences during PhD program still count as work experiences?
Thanks

Any experience counts provided it belongs to correct NOC code category and employment letter with roles and responsibilities can be furnished to prove the experience.

If you were paid, then yes.

Thanks guys!
May I ask another question, what types of RA work reference letter I should get from my university? A letter from my PhD advisor, or from my department, or graduate school?

I asked my university, and they said they used third party "theworknumber" service, which provides salary, title, time period, etc. Would that be sufficient? I heard it requires details of my duties (like what research projects I've done), if so, it seems I must get letter from my advisor?
