ok people now some preaching time.. all you people here.. get patience and tolerance as part of your behaviour.. Canadians are very patient people... We like to be brash on roads.. litle over exited, over honking.. loosing patience if someone cuts... this somehow works in USA as being litle brash is part of game der... does not work here...people get hell lot of ticket called public nuisance here...so be careful.. let me give u example.. in us if someone ask for a pass in front of me ... it was at my discretion...and if someone cuts me...god bless him.. i will go next to him rev shit on his face and drive off... here opp.. if someone cuts , that guy will sya sorry.. you will accept apology everyone happy... why i am saying this patience for PR is somethin u have to do and u dont have an option.. again people here stating IRCC this that... i reiterate ... Canada is doing you a favour by giving you PR, its not the other way round, you have problem with system get out of the line many will follow and fill ur space... i agree process is slow damn slow.. but hold on mates.. and IRCC gives approval... its upto your local offices how they handle the flow... not IRCC... so you can go and start doing some protest in front of that office...keep in mind if you don respect system now... you will never respect any system once you are here.. things take time..

Now this is the line I don't entirely agree with but meh ... kind of true as well. This is one of those lines that could become an IELTS topic of discussing both sides. Since you have spoken for one side let me say a few things for the other side.

Canada is doing a favor .. is true to some extent but not the absolute gospel truth. It would have been an unqualified truth if we were asylum seekers with no real skills for the Corporate world and Canada was assuming responsibility of our food, shelter and education. Everyone in FSW O is highly educated and with good work experience and will definitely contribute to Canada's economy. And we will fight our own fights in terms of finding jobs and shelter. We will pay the same taxes. If they didn't need people from outside they would not have such a program in the first place. Yes it is supply and demand and supply being high they can behave as if they are doing a favor.

It is like this when an employer gives me a job they can behave for first few weeks as if they did a favor to me. But I also contribute to the company's success so the favor argument ends after a while.

There are two sides of the coin and I think the other side also deserves some respect and not be treated like this. I get it they have processes, and every file is different and all the other blahs blahs that exist. BUT there is no denying that the process could be a little more transparent. Having said that I know for sure it will never ever happen.

I do not disagree and for now US is behaving as if it won't impact them. I have heard stories of people doing higher studies in US and not been able to obtain an H1B .. That is not sustainable. The Indian and Chinese students contribute Billions in US education industry. Pick any college / university Indian and Chinese students make a good chunk of it. If it continues like this no one is going to take loans and study there. Every action has a reaction .. and sometimes a delayed reaction.

Truth is US is the biggest job market in the world. For the same skills set I can see many more jobs in the US than any other developed country. And hence they also need immigrants to fill the gap. I think what Canada is doing here is smart. They are kind of "poaching" the talent that US has. Now, it all depends on the leadership in Canada how best they exploit this situation. If I were a business / political leader I would start setting up offices in tier 2 cities of Canada. Let's see how Canada wants to play their hand. If they play it well their economy can see a huge jump.
