I have applied on 15th October, just received an email that they will get back to me within December 1st and after that nothing from them.
Is it mandatory that we should not have any relatives in Canada

it seems that your application is for 2019 target of morden, they only have 50 families per yr quota.
it is a requirement not to have any connection w/ Canada ( relatives,family and friends)

Just to share my experience, When I applied for Morden Strategic Initiative, one of the requirement is an active EE profile . during that time they only accept applicant with current active EE profile and with family. During the EV in Morden, MPNP officer will conduct an interview on the last day of the visit in Winnipeg where you will share your experience and prove that you will be fit in the community. you need to show also that you are interested in Morder to settle and no plan to leave the city. Documents like bank account, ECA, Employment certificate and other more ( Shelly - Morden Immigration coordinator will provide all the list of docs to prepare).

My EV was delayed for a month since I need to renew my IELTS exam, My EE need to be active during the exploratory visit and interview with the MPNP office.


I'm not sure if there is another stream/ program for Morden Strategic Initiative where EE is not required.

I hope I was able to give some idea.

As I didnt hear from them till now, I sent an email asking whether my EOI will be considered or not today.
My Sister in law moved to PEI, but has still not received the PR. I hope this will not create any issue in my application.

Hello this forum is very helpful. Pls how long does it takes to receive an email for Skype interview. My spouse applied for morden in October and was asked to wait for response on or before dec 1st. Has anyone who applied for morden in October received an invitation for Skype interview yet. Just curious

Skype Interview - after 2 weeks
EV invitation - after a week
We did our EV in May
I received my MPNP nomination in Sep
Received ITA in Sep
PR submission OCT 1st week

My personal opinion - no connection w/ in Morden or other Canada provinces means that no relative or friends living in Canada for you to be qualified.
Friends can be easy to ignore but relatives will be a challenged not to declare.

do you have a communication with the guy in the past? I do believe that there are chances that we have relatives that we never knew that they are living in Canada, so it can't be avoided that somehow we have connection w/o knowing it. the idea of not having a connection is for you to stay in Morden and not to move to other province once you get your PR/once you get the approval.
