I've completed a 2 year program and i have had my PGWP since August 2018. Ive been working full time since then.

My question is how long should i wait to have more chance to get an ITA ? What are my chances to apply soon-ish? Should i wait and gain more work experience? Ive read mixed comments on the forum so i am a little bit perplexed. My goal is to go for PR.

calculate your CRS, if it is within range of current cutoffs you should apply ASAP. The current cut offs are 441-449

The earlier the better, the CRS score cut-off is only moving upwards (but it is also possible as this was one of the last draws of the year, which came after a longer than usual frequency) so better get in the pool asap

I got 424. I believe its because i have a little work experience in Canada. What are the best way to improve my points? Im thinking about getting another test for language done (TEF) and maybe gain a little bit morework experience...i didnt even make the cut off with my actual profile..

Also when they ask about past work experience in the past 10 year in my home country, what kind of documentation do i need to show that i have acquired the full time hours?

Reference letter from your employer
  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and

Thank you. Ive had quite a lot of jobs in the past 10 years. Some were full time, some werent. Under the same question it states “only one occupation” does that mean i can only pick one job? If so i have maybe a year-ish at full time. Seems like that would hinder my chances a bit.

This whole crs thing is extremely confusing to me.

The minimum required work experience to be considered under the Federal Skilled Worker program is at least 1 year (30 hours per week) of paid work in your primary NOC (0, A or B level). It should be continuous, meaning there should not be any significant breaks within this 1 year of experience. Full time work with one or more than one employers but under the same NOC would count if it is at least 30 hours per week for 12 months, totaling 1560 hours. Part time experience also counts if it is 15 hours per week for 24 months totaling 1560 hours. This experience should have been gained within the last ten years and you should have proof of employment that should clearly show that your job responsibilities match the duties given in the description of that NOC on the official website.
