If you consider that 80% of applications will take 12 months, you'll either not worry if you take that long, or be pleasantly surprised if you are finished faster.

The reason i posted this is because i heard some lucky ones even take 7 months 8 months around there. Has anyone experienced approval and finalization before 12 months?

The timeline for each case is different. However, mine was done in about 5 months, but that was just over 5 years ago.

Wow that is fast considering it was also 5 years ago...mine is outland and being processed in mississauga based on my updates you think most of the processing is done?

I would say you are 50% there. Background and security checks still need to be done. Same goes for the evaluation of the applicant's part of the application and the relationship.

I have submitted the security background check with my application which at the time they took a variety of fingerprints. Is this the same as biometrics? They also took a variety of fingerprints when i was doing my medical. But i do know as of july 31 2018 you need to submit your biometrics with your application. But mine was submitted before that...if someone could shed some light on this thanks

You submitted yours before this new requirement. So don't worry about it. If they decided to request for your biometrics, they will notify you to get it done.
