My sealed envelop from University has been tear off by mistake by a family member. What should I do?

It took around 1.5 months for my University to process my request for attested transcripts, results and passing certificate. When they sent all the attested copies in sealed envelope at home, I was not present and my parent unaware about it, tear it off to check what's inside.

I have just lost the sealed envelop but the copies are completely fine and attested by my University. Can I send to WES in plain envelope. Will they accept it ? Please confirm as if I ask my UNI to get me in sealed envelope, they will perform a complete process all again and will take 1.5 months more.

Unfortunately, WES doesn't accept if the documents are not sealed or even if there are any signs on damage on the seal. I would recommend you apply for another transcript asap, since trying with this one will only give you a false hope.

You can take your transcripts to your university and ask them to just replace the envelope, seal and get it stamped. You can save time, all the best

Hi, Thankyou for the reply. I did communicated my University for the same and they denied to just replace the envelope. They asked me to again apply for the whole process and as I said it is too time consuming.

I have communicated to my college aswell regarding this issue and they were too supportive on this. They asked me that if it is okay for me than they can provide me sealed envelope with all University attested documents along with HOD signature and college stamps. But I am not sure if that will be valid or not. And yes one thing to note here, My transcripts were issued by my college with its stamp and not University. My university doesn't issue any transcript, it just put their stamps and signature on it. So will that envelope get considered. Please reply

Here is what you can do ... Take that sealed envelop from college send it to WES... if you're lucky they will accept it. But in the meantime apply at university and start the process again .. WES anyways will take about 2-3 weeks to tell you whether they are accepting it or not. In this way, if they accept it you're good. If they don't at least you tried and your university process is already in motion.

I dont think they wont charge you. if they wont accept your documents on verification, the processing time is just going to increase, with the transcripts/couriers back and forth. probably not worth it! get it right thee first time if you ask me.

Just apply for a new one n let your school send it to WES directly. Since it had been complied already, it will take shorter time. They will just print it out n sign, n send.
