I'm American and recently received my ITA. I'm AWAITING my background info from the FBI and am trying to gather all of my travel dates the last few years and have a couple of questions:

Will a PR application that isn't processed yet negatively affect any travel to and from Canada? I have been to Canada approximately 100 times the past 5 years (4 as a worker) and back and forth several times this past year after my visa expired as I still have a gf in Toronto area. I've read it might make it a bit easier as they see the application and know you aren't trying to hide in Canada but am unsure.

How accurate do the travel dates have to be? As I mentioned I've been back and forth a bunch and am going to try and have all of them accurate but there's a chance I may miss one or have only approximate dates

Pretty accurate. You could ask the CBSA for a travel history report - https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/agency-agence/reports-rapports/pia-efvp/atip-aiprp/thr-rav-eng.html

If you are concerned, write a letter of explanation (and remember, you are not the first person in this situation).

Thank you writing a letter is a good idea.

I just looked that link up and it said not to get one of those history reports if applying for pr because checking yes on question 23 on the pr app will allow ircc to request it on my behalf, so there's that.

My suggestion was that you request it for YOUR benefit, not IRCC's : ) You said you weren't sure of all your comings and goings, this is one source of information.
