These delays are pain in the rear end! I have so much to plan and I cannot do, unless I have this completed.
that's so bad, My spouse medical expired on 27th Oct 2018. so will they process my case faster then?I called CIC again today. This agent was even better than the last one. Last one asked me to update my address and I did. So I called to make sure there isn't any delay because of that. She told me that my address is updated but since my dependent also lives on same address, he also has to get it updated. The other agent didn't tell me this. Anyway, I have updated my husband's address as well. This agent told me the delay in my application is because my medical was submitted on time but my husband's came to them a month late (this is the mistake at the end of the doc who did my medical). She told me my office is Nova Scotia and my file was approved on 24th October (the day I got my one and only ghost update). She said, now my file would go to Ottawa office (but again she doesn't know, when) and from there they'll make the decision as to send me a PPR or landing interview. I told her that it's my sixth month of processing, and still I am not sure as to when will I get my PPR. I planned a trip in December because I thought my processing would be completed in 6 months. She said processing time is till when your Medical expires. So for me it's May 2019 and for my spouse it's June 2019 (because his medical was sent late). Such a state of confusion here.
There must a option to travel while waiting for card. You can request CICThese delays are pain in the rear end! I have so much to plan and I cannot do, unless I have this completed.
Once PPR is sent and I have that visa on my passport I can leave the country and when I am back from my trip that would be considered as my landing. But if I get a landing interview at a local office I would be given COPR right away and I cannot leave the country unless I get my PR card. So that's a pickle. There must a option to travel while waiting for card. You can request CIC
Yeah! I also wasn't aware about this medical expiration date thing! This is getting more confusing each day.that's so bad, My spouse medical expired on 27th Oct 2018. so will they process my case faster then?
One more thing in addition to above that the agent told me. There is another email ID they have on their record, that I used when I was a student here and had applied my student visa and later work permit. Now for PR application, I had created a new one and thus clean email, so I don't miss any communication. So, she told me to keep an eye on that old email (inbox and spam) as well. Just in case.I called CIC again today. This agent was even better than the last one. Last one asked me to update my address and I did. So I called to make sure there isn't any delay because of that. Yeah I hope soon ..I don’t think there is any method to their madness to be honest. I know of someone who applied after me (my AOR is July 9) and got theirs before me. I know another May applicant who got theirs at the end of September. I got mine on October 26. May and July seem to be very slow. Hang in there. I know it’s frustrating.
thank you for the response.
I am just waiting to hear good news.
how was your anniversary? I know the feeling.. mine came too and we were apart!
It was me Well, not gonna lie, it wasn't the best...Hey! It wasn’t mine! There was some else in our group who posted that, and unfortunately they weren’t together to celebrate it. Thanks to never ending delays of PPRs.
Mine is in January and my husband is here with me.
I saw some Sept 24 CEC inland, got PPR on 6th Nov. I’m happy for him but CIC should do justice to us as well.
Really sorry for that. And I know there's nothing much we can do but to stay calm. Hope you get your GCMS soon. Also, try calling CIC, that helped meIt was me Well, not gonna lie, it wasn't the best...
Absolutely no update on my end except for the ADR change to NA that happened a week or 10 days back. Our GCMS aren't in as well so we don't know what the position is. Trying to maintain calm but it's definitely taking a toll mentally and emotionally...
