Hi there

My relative has recently applied for student visa and received refusual letter "not satisfied for leaving after stay, and based on academic record, not satisfed about intentions to pursue studies in canada"

What would be the best course of action now? Is there any way to appeal? or would it be better to hire an authorized representative to re-submit application?

Also I recieved a quote for about 1500 CAD for authorized representative to submit, is this a fair price?

What is his background? They have indicated about his academic record? Did he have any fails or is there any education gap??

No appeal but you can apply again. Get the caip notes to get a better understanding of redusal then fix the issue and apply again.

average grades, only 1 year gap after high school. Would the CAIP notes advise of reasoning of refusual?

Also is it easier to just hire a representative to submit? what are average costs?

average grades should not be a problem. Would need to explain the reason for gap. You should definitely get the CAIPS report before applying again. check caipsgcms.com. For representatives, I cant say how much in your country but in Canada, anywhere between $1500 to $2300.
