Questions about police certificate and physical.

My husband has been here on a work visa for the past 4 years and he had to get a police certificate and a physical for the visa.
Can he use the same documents for his immigration application? Or will he need to get a new ones? If he does need new ones does he have to leave the country to get them?

If he got them 4 years ago then no. Medical is good for one year and PCC I want to say are good for 6m but I'm not positive on that one.
