Hello experts,

I need your guidance to determine my NOC. Could anyone help me to figure out whether my job duties match with NOC 4021 or not? I don't want to get refused by VO by saying that NOC doesn't match with duties.

Following were my job duties. I really appreciate your feedback.

· Plan and prepare course lessons and deliver the lecture materials to the students according to the curriculum determined by the College.

· Conduct group works, seminars and laboratory classes.

· Design and assess students’ assignments, term tests, project work, and grade students’ performance; maintain up-to-date and accurate records of students’ progress and achievement.

· Provide academic advice to a group of first-year students on their academic decisions.

· Advice the students enrolled in the program and keep scheduled office hours for the students seeking extra help.

· Supervise laboratory work and internship projects; serve on internship committees.

· Organize and conduct field trips and excursions or other learning activities.

· Attend required departmental and divisional meetings and college-wide activities.

· Contribute to the review of learning programs and to the implementation of quality improvement action plans, as part of the college quality framework.


Does the NOC 4021 substantially matches with the job duties?

As long as your job duties match 60-70% with the NOC job duties, you should be good. It's your job duties and no one else can answer this better than yourself.

My noc duties were between 4012 and 4021. I selected 4012 because it has less number of duties mentioned on non website

In your case with exception of supervise TAs all the duties match. So disregard those duties that start with “May” on Noc website and count the number of duties. If the match is 70-75% then u r ok

So what is your thoughts on my case, although I didn't supervise TAs, am I good to go with NOC 4021? Does cic can create any issues later

I checked CIC website. 7 out of 9 duties matches. But there are different sentences than what is mentioned in my letter.

And they have to be different. If u have the same sentences then it will add up to the problem rather than solving it
