Whats the status on your file, mate? Ottawa, the faster one itself is making us restless, can imagine the plight of rest of VOs. Did you call CIC recently

No updates. No I haven't called CIC. i just don't have the patience. Plus even after calling getting a decent agent is a hit or miss. I'm waiting to complete 5 month mark and will order another set of notes around 19 Nov.

What is the easiest way to get through CIC. Every single option on their IVR is programmed to say "unable to route the call to an agent". Could it be their lunch break ?

Its almost 2 PM there so I doubt it is lunch break time. I think the call volume may be high. So may be try after a while. And if possible try at 8AM their time. Many people have reported better luck finding an agent at that time.

Okay .. not sure if your friend called from within Canada or not. I have a feeling calls within Canada may have priority. But, I may be wrong. I have tried calling them only once and I could reach them on 5th day of trying. I had the same experience where the call would just drop and not put me on queue. And in the queue I had to wait 40 minutes. Since then I have not been able to muster enough courage to call again.

Members have reported both modes of PPR intimation. Generally people get either of those. Someone did report receiving it both in email and account but I think it is rare. From what I have read chances of email are far greater than notification in account.

Its pretty straight forward once u go there,staff are helpful nd u can drop ur passport in 40mins.

I have dropped mine on 18thOct and received passport dispatch msg today.
