and that is not fair.. They should process our applications as we are waiting more than them

Yeah, that's my biggest question. I understand some applications are complex. But this can't be true that all May ones are in that category. I have been following other threads July/Aug/Sept, they are way happier than us here. And some of them even complain about "waiting PPR after BG and 2 ghost updates". This makes me even more envious. "Guys at least you have what you have, at such an early stage!!. We May-AORs, are here with nothing but negative thoughts hovering our minds all day long"

so I called CIC today, the agent said that I should not be calling until my six months mark. I told him that most of the time people do get t o know their status as in eligibility pass and/or criminalogy in progress. He said he cannot tell me anything at this point and when i call back next time after completion of six months then only they will tell me everything. I asked what does everything mean? he said the eligibility, status etc and they will also email the file officier at that point. He did not even tell me which city my application is being processed. I always have bad luck with agents

atleast u got a chance to talk to an agent. I tried to call cic 3 times and they disconnected my call everytime by saying we are receiving a high no of call at moment, so we cnt process your call. I am completing 6 months on 1st nov. try to call them on 1st. Let see what agent is gonna say about my file.

keep trying. I tried 5 times at different timings. All together i wasted more than 2 hours of my precious time today on a call that was useless. You can wait and try calling on Nov 1st.

Hello Friends,
I applied on May 18.
Medicals pass may 29,
Till now no update.
I have 1 dependent
My question is I paid only $499 instead of $2000 for both applications. I don’t know how to pay full payment at that time bu I read somewhere I can pay the rest of the amount after the PR Aprovel.
Is that making my file delay?
Can I pay rest of the amount now ? And how?
Please somebody help I may save some time if I pay my fee now...
On November 18 it will be 6 months until I can only fallow this site...

That sucks. The agents should be at least a little bit helpful/friendly.

I'm also following the May AOR thread on myimmitracker. Actually, about 2/3 of the applicants that are on it and updating statuses have made it through. Can't say the same for August / September. Also remember that people on any of these forums (including canada visa and myimmitacker) are a very small representation of the actual pool of candidates.

I ordered notes on the 8th of October, ordered another set out of sheer panic on the 25th as well. On the 26th there was a status change on our ADR to Not Applicable. I'm hoping that ordering GCMS triggered some attention to the file. I'd suggest anyone and everyone who are yet to order GCMS should do now. There is no limit to how many times you can order them.

Hi Suri,

As my husband currently resides in Canada we are able to order directly from the ATIP website. For people outside Canada there are many websites that offer these services, like getgcms.com. You can even search up on the Canada Visa forum for more information as GCMS is a widely discussed topic

I tried calling them a couple of times. The automated system disconnects saying "larger call volume".
