Hello everyone!
I am currently working on my post grad work permit (PGWP) as a behaviour therapist for a non profit organization. The offer states it’s an
individual contractor position. The organization would be ready to give me an experience letter confirming the hours I worked and the pay etc. But the CIC website says self employment is not counted for Express entry CEC. I’m confused if the job experience letter which would state my duties as in NOC and hours on company letter head count or not. I’ll have proof of all my invoices and cheque’s to show. I need some guidance. Does anyone else hav an independent contractor position and are working towards PR. Or has anyone done it before. Looking forward to some support and help. Thank you I’m advance.

Oh dear. OK, first, you have read it in black-and-white that self-employment (which includes independent contractors) does not count for CEC (it does count for federal skilled worker program, if the experience is outside of Canada). That is a fact. So you need to accept that your current work situation will not help you apply for PR.

There's more, but before I go there, can you clarify - What province are you in? Do you work full-time for this organization? Do you work for any other organizations?
