Hey guys,I wrote my test back in March 2018 and passed the test.During my interview,I was asked to bring my travel history for USA and also I was requested to bring my records of employment, lease agreement for the passed 5 years and even dr.'s record.Since I had trip planned for the summer,I wrote to then that I will only provide that after 3 months.I got back in July and forwarded the documents to them around September 15.Today I got a call from CIC to ask me if I was residing in Calgary or Edmonton I told them Edmonton.When I asked why,she said they are trying to line me up for my aoth ceremony.Later in the day I checked my status and it said Decision made.Wow finally I am almost there.
Now my question is how long will it take for me to get the letter for the aoth ceremony, anyone in Edmonton waiting for the aoth letter or already got one? please let me know when I can expect it and how long they give us to go for the ceremony.Thanks family

when did you get your DM and original oath invitation?
It may take 4-8 weeks to get new invitation based on the experiences others have shared on this forum.

I'm not sure when I got the DM, I got the first email with invitation to appear on October 2nd, and ceremony scheduled for Oct 12. So we could take the DM date as Oct 2.

Today I've gotten another invitation to appear scheduled for November 9, please update the spreadsheet with the DM date of Oct 2, Invitation to appear on Oct 24, and Ceremony on November 9th with a note that it was requested a rescheduling from original date of Oct 12.

I know fam, thanks so much I wish all of u fast movement too, jus can’t handle it when I see a lot pple who jus qualified within few months and get their passport, so frustrating. I wish all the best

Yeah- I remember your disgruntled posts. Why would you want to get stressed based on others speedier processing? You had applied after me, wrote your test after me, and got your Oath before me-yet, I am happy for you, because i am confident my time will come.

3. We started processing your application on February 9, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on September 13, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 4, 2018 at 8:20 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us

Congrats Goodluck abi! I’m a little bit jealous for my application is still in Scarborough, no oath schedule in Scarborough yet I’m planning to travel with my kids to visit my family this November but I can’t because of my expired passport and expired PR and I’m expecting right now and my craving for local food is driving me crazy and depressed ..

After almost 1 month after passing the test, finally file is DECISION MADE TODAY, now we are waiting for the oath.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 28, 2017.
