We just receive an email saying that our application was sent to Mexico office for further proceeding.
Is there any problem thats why our application was sent to Mexico?
Has anyone application was sent to Mexico for further proceeding?

We are Brazilian, so it was a huge surprise for us.

I am from St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean and mine was supposed to go to Trinidad but it didn't. The VAC there is closing permanently on November the 30th. It was the same for me. I panicked when i spoke with an immigration Officer in Montreal. I asked why and she said she couldn't give me an answer so I wrote Trinidad via email and Mexico VAC answered me back the next day. They just mentioned that it is being processed and to have patience. It was first processed in Mississauga then sent to Mexico; doing outland.

After the background check and everything is good, then I would assume the usual; pre arrival, etc.

No one really knows. I've heard stories to be hopeful; the ones that are processed 6-9 months. Then there are the ones that is over a year; sad. There's going to be some reshuffling there as well in Nov so let's see what happens. When I wrote them, the person that answered said, "thank you for keeping your correspondence to a minimum" I take that it means don't bother us too much. So I will just wait my turn.

Mexico is a common VO, i went through them for my husband’s application, he is Dominican.
It took a total 10 months to be approved.

Same here! PA brazilian, may application and transferred to Mexico on Oct 24th.
No news from my side. I spoke by email with Mexico VO and my app is still in transit, they have not receive it yet.
I believe is the same for you. We probably will have to wait at least another 2 months.

10 months in Mexico? Or 10 months total from when app went in?

Same here! PA brazilian, may application and transferred to Mexico on Oct 24th.
No news from my side. I spoke by email with Mexico VO and my app is still in transit, they have not receive it yet.
I believe is the same for you. We probably will have to wait at least another 2 months.

My app went to Mexico in May and just received our AOR 2 October 30.
