Inland spousal sponsorship file transferred to Etobicoke office

Dear all I am very worried and depressed my file has been transferred for further assessment on the 6th July 2018 but my sponsor was approved on the 9th July,2018.my application was made on 8th may 2017.l ordered my GCSM notes and to my surprise the officer is indicating the fact that the application required an interview to exam bona fide.( In the notes the officer had indicated that we got married within 2months of first meeting, and we have limited history of relationship.The PA has been ineligible his various EE applications.The officer acknowledged we have a child yet the officer made reference to our relationship as limited history. The PA has overstayed and out of status but eligible under social policy.)


Since l received the transfer letter to Etobicoke l haven't heard from them .l don't know whether they would invite me for interview or whatever. I am confused as l can't work and my sponsor is currently breastfeeding our new born baby and my sponsor is out of work. My open workpermit application was put on hold up till date until l they decide the PR. I really don't know what to do now.we submitted everything to show we are married couple yet l really don't know why the officer made comment on the relationship is within 2months of first meeting. Please l need some advice on what to expect.Since my wife gave birth she has gone to stay temporary with the mum.Do we have to inform cic on the temporary move or we should update my wife current address. Could this have further implications if we don't update my wife address.

Marrying within 2 months of meeting is a huge red flag, especially after already showing that you were trying to stay in Canada. No surprise that there is an interview.

You are required to be cohabiting with your sponsor while the inland app processes. If IRCC finds out she is living somewhere else, your app could be refused just based on that.

We have been living together and it only recently when the baby came whiles we visited the mother's place during Christmas she was admitted to hospital and got delivered at the mum place.we submitted the baby birth certificate in the month of April 2018 one month after baby was born. Now because l can't work and she has also lost her job due to pregnancy complications she is staying with the mum place so the baby can be taken care of whiles waiting for the PR.l have been going to see my wife and child every month at the mum place 4hours by train from where I live in Toronto .on the 9th July 2018 my wife got approved as a sponsor even though when l check the date on the comments made by the officer in GCSM notes it was on the 5th July 2018. I received a letter indicating that my file has been transferred to Etobicoke on 6th July 2018 prior to the approval of the sponsor. Since then l have not heard from them. The hospital completed the child birth certificate using my wife mum address and we forwarded same to cic office in the month April 2018 one month after baby was born .and they acknowledged it in the GCSM notes

I really don't know what they are up to and don't have enough money to hire a lawyer as l am not working because cic has put on hold the open work permit application .l had visited Canada way back in 2012 with 5years tourist visa and went home and didn't come back until 2016. Whiles in Canada in the year 2016 l met my wife online and we dated for only two months and we got married.at the time of filing the application we indicated it to them.unfortunately l couldn't retrieved the communication online at the time of submitting the application as same has been deleted by the dating site.Yet the officer commented in the GCSM notes that we got married within 2months of first meeting and no proof of communication submitted on first meeting.

What I said hasn't changed. You have red flags and you are not living together. You have a high chance of refusal.

Also it seems like you're confused as to why they would ask for an interview. They're asking for one because you guys got married after a very short courtship, and also you have a history of trying to immigrate to Canada and you're currently overstaying in Canada. All these things would seem to appear that you're marrying her just to stay in Canada, because based on your past, it's clear that you're very desperate to stay in this country.

Everything is in the hands of God and l am not desperate to stay in Canada, l have come to Canada in 2012 yet cic behave as if l first enter Canada in 2016.Anyway thank you for your opinion much appreciated.l would wait

It depends on your circumstances, what was written in your transfer letter if l may asked. Sometimes the transfer is scheduled for landing but other times they may require review of your assessment to establish the genuineness of your relationship .if it is the latter expect to receive letter inviting you for relationship interview .scheduling interview could take from 3months to 10months after the transfer but it depends on individual circumstances . What you have to do is to frequently order your GCSM notes it would tell you everything about your application and why they have transferred your application so that you can prepare.

Dear Attak..am in a similar situation like urs...all i do now is pervently pray..the waiting time i hear of is a killer to me...my advice to u is to pray, n pray with ur spouse. U cant help living with her now bc of the baby wc i think is very normal for a new mother to b with her mom...n it doesnt xge e fact though she is at her mom's u guys dont live at the same address. Am praying for us all...
