Hi everybody,
I was sponsored by my spouse (citizen) and landed as a PR last week. Everything was fine at landing, I did the interview, the officer signed my COPR and everything else.
Today I went to apply for a SIN at service canada and they told me my file is flagged by IRCC so they can't process. I don't have any idea what that could mean since our application was very smooth (we got the copr in 6 months with no issues) and also everything was fine at landing.
Has anybody heard abou this before? any idea about what that could mean?

I did but Service Canada said that it's nothing they can see through on their systems as it is an IRCC thing. I just went back to the airport and I happened to find the same officer who did my landing, she took my CoPR went to check it and said that everything looks fine on their end so I am a little bit puzzled.
My CoPR has a T number but if I try to put it on ecas to check it doesn't give any match, is that normal?

A FLAGGED CASE ! Any problems between you and your spouse? That could ONLY be the reason that sponsor reported you on your back. Well you are landed officially, no need to worry if both of you are OK. There could be other reasons, you will be informed sooner or later. Or you can phone them too. Don't worry at all if your relations are OK

Sounds like system has a clerical mistake, OR some documents needed still.

It's gotta be an admin mistake I'd think

V GOOD :) Then your status is not yet updated by CBSA officer yet, so have to Wait till PR Card to get SIN.It happened to 1 guy before too. Officer may be new in service. Or try contacting Local IRCC office rather than same officer. Nothing to worry :)

Well that's what I thought at first too but the officer at the airport confirmed that everything was done by the books there so I'm really starting to worry you know? Getting settled is already a pain and having to deal with this is not helping at all

I had the similar problem where I got my permanent SIN after a month of landing.
Immigration officer who signed me for landing did not enter details in IRCC system. After calling IRCC call centers many times they sent urgent message to the IRCC local office where I landed and finally 30 mins after the call on 30th day the immigration officer called me and excused for the delay and said that I should be able to get my SIN. Service Canada validated my information later that day
Keep calling IRCC call center.

LIKE it now? Hope it relieves your worries

Thanks everybody for your answers.
I was finally able to figure out what happened after following up with the port of entry where I did my landing.
Apparently the agent that did it was fairly new and forgot to check a box on my file and that originated everything.
