Dear Friends,

Firstly, i would like to thank everyone who helped me in the past texts.

Secondly, My situation is i applied for PR with my spouse as dependent under CEC. Right now i am working in Canada and my spouse is living in India.

What is the procedure for PPR in this case? should i tell my spouse to courier her passport here to me and send it to visa office with my passport or they will send a two different PPR.

Any inputs would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Depends, did you disclosed that she was in India but you were in Canada when you submitted the application?
I'd say wait until you get PPR, see if the email provides extra instructions regarding the processing of your spouse... otherwise what you suggested makes sense, have her courier her passport to you so you can send it to CIC.

i was in a similar situation, although I am in the US and didn't apply in CEC. I just emailed CIC (CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca) and they sent updated instructions for her submit in India. There are centers all over the country which will process it. My wife did the same. We didn't get our passports back however, it has only been 5 days since we submitted the passports after we got the RFV email. I think it is pretty straightforward, email them.

I assume you have mentioned India as her country of residence and provided her adress details as it’s required for all the applicants included in application. I have seen in most such cases, PPR is sent separately as per their country of residence.

Also, if address for any applicant changes during the processing then it’s applicant’s responsibility to inform IRCC about it.

RFV meaning: ready for visa.

I just stated that my wife is in India and asked if it is possible for her to submit in india. They replied with new instructions and she submitted at a local vfs office who in turn sent it to new Delhi high commission for processing.
