My visiting visa was refused how should I reapply

I applied for visiting visa from India to Canada to visit my friends who are permanent residents there. I applied through a consultant who said that my application should be processed like tourist. Nowhere about visiting my friends were mentioned in the application, even in the itinerary.

My application was processed and on the 5th day I received a message in the cic stating my visa has been refused because "i have not satisfied the immigration that I will leave Canada 1. Travel history, 2. Ties in Canada and home country and 3. Purpose of visit."

1. I never traveled anywhere out of the country. I am doing it this time because of my friends.
2. My friends are ready to provide me all the possible documents to support my visa application.
3. The only tie I have in my home country is my work. Also, my mother is my dependent whollives with me so I'll be returning to India.

I'm going to reapply on my own without hiring any consultant, what are the documents I require from my friends to support my application and what should I do about the no travel history issue. Also, is flight reservation mandatory for application.

1. Visiting friends is generally not considered as a strong purpose especially if someone has not traveled abroad earlier.

2. Someone can easily change his/her job or decide to take a sabbatical. So, employment may not help as a tie unless the job responsibilities are unique + the applicant's income is financially lucrative/pays very well.


You'll need to provide more information:
1. How long is your intended visit?

2. Do post the list of documents you had submitted particularly for your employment and your financial investments.

3. Is your mom employed? Or does she earn a pension? Do you have other siblings that could take care of your mom?

Flight reservation is not mandatory.

Provide all documents you think are necessary to show that you'll only be in Canada temporarily and that you have enough ties to India that you'll return after your visit to Canada. That is the #1 priority in your application and what the officer should be satisfied of when he/she reads your application, so whatever you think makes sense to include to support this: do it.

3. Is your mom employed? Or does she earn a pension? Do you have other siblings that could take care of your mom?

1. 2 weeks is the duration of my stay.

2. I submitted
Employment document- Appointment letter, pay slips, and NOC (No objection certificate) and showed bank statements for proof of funds.

3. My mom is not employed or she doesn't get any pension either. I do have siblings but she lives with me since they're married..

Provide all documents you think are necessary to show that you'll only be in Canada temporarily and that you have enough ties to India that you'll return after your visit to Canada. 5. Do you have financial investments? For example, FDs, RD, mutual funds, SIPs, shares/stocks, PPF, EPF, etc?

6. What documents can you submit to prove your mom is dependent on you for her finances and her well-being?

7. Just to clarify: You intend to meet friends and not someone you are in a relationship with (either online or offline), right?

1. It is not unique, but if I quit there'll be a huge impact since I do a high volume of work.

Let's consider how this bank balance would come across to a visa officer:
1. Is it consistent with your income and your tax returns?

2. Why would someone keep funds in a savings account which earns low interest as compared to investing it in investments that offer higher returns?

3. As you don't have any financial investments + no property or land ownership + no other assets, it would indirectly imply that your financial situation is not good.

5. EPF

EPF cannot be shown as funds available for your visit. Hope this amount was NOT included in your 'Funds available for your visit' amount.

It won't help. There must be evidence to back your statements, in which you must prove your mom is dependent on you.... and your siblings cannot take care of her in your absence.

Going through your posting history, it seems you plan to get married to your boyfriend when you are in Canada. As advised by others on that thread, there are absolutely no restrictions to marrying your boyfriend in India. He can then apply to sponsor you for PR. IMO, that would be the best option.

IMO again, you have little to no chance of a TRV approval even if your friends provide their documents. Except for your employment (which again does not seem to be exceptional), you do not have any other strong ties to India.... not even your mom.... no previous travel history.... no strong financials, etc.

You may want to consider marrying in India. Are you and your boyfriend of different religions and/or facing objections from your families?
