Visa Office in Rome - Italy

Hi every one

For any one who is doing a spousal sponsorship and has rome visa office

Have any of you received or has your background check started.

I am a March 2018 outland AOR

Same here... Applied Feb... Meds done April... No Background check started. I have emailed them many times and general response file is on queue no foreseeable time.

Hi there,

I recently got my PPR from Rome Visa Office and waiting for my COPR right now. Here is my timeline:

Express Entry
FSW-outland
2 applicants (myself and spouse)
Rome VO
AOR - 27 Nov 2017
ADR (spouse travel history) - 8 Dec 2017
Request to re-do medicals - 1 Feb 2018
Medicals passed (approximatly) - 10 March 2018
Ordered GCMS notes - 14 June 2018
Got notes with Assesment section stating Passed - 13 July 2018
Contacted Rome VO - 16 July 2018
PPR - 17 July 2018
Passport sent - 19 July 2018
Passport recieved by RVO - 20 July 2018
COPR approved - 27 July 2018
COPR recieved - waiting....


If you havent ordered GCMS notes yes I would suggest that you do so ASAP. It wont hurt and it will help you understand where her file is at. It might as well be that (like it was in my case) her application was approved, but the PPR has not been sent out yet. No idea what happened there, but as soon as we raised an enquery with RVO they issued my PPR the following day.

That is the same problem I am facing.

This uncertainty is killing. I wish I could get an idea on which month they are currently processing.

My file was transfered there September 2018. What is the next step? Does anyone know which month they are processing right now ???

Hey how long did it take to receive your passport and CoPR back?

Hi there,

Less than 2 weeks. I sent out my passport copy on the 19.07 and recieved COPR on the 01.08.

Because i send email at 8 october at visa office rome and i dont get an answer yet ,

You can read about it here on this thread, but in short I ordered the GCMS notes and it said my file is approved, so my agent contacted the Rome Visa office for clarifications. I believe he raised a CSE, so maybe try that. They replied the next day asking for my passport copies.

I juse it too but nothing 14 days and they dont answer me
