hi, im new here. Im really worried about my our visa application. My husband and I got married last june and he is planning to sponsor me to canada (by the way i’m in Philippines, my husband is neutralized canadian citizen in Canada, he lives in Grand prairie with his family (mom dad and sister)Last September 10-14,2018my husband have sent theu courrier an application to sponsor and the one i think was for the eligibility to sponsor ( there were 3 forms including the document checklist and also his receipt . Now my Application(for PR) was not yet send because a friend of ours told us that this is how he and wife did , but im worried since thwre is no response from the embassy about our application and I have never heard anyone passing the application this way like we did. ( most of the people I have asked passed their application alltogether , for the sponsor and the principal applicant) I am wondering if anyone of you have the same experience just like the friend of ours and what we are currently on now. Please help.

When you pass the application package, refer to the document checklist. It outlines all the requirements for gathering & preparing documents. You must read the instructions thoroughly about what forms and supporting documents to send in. It’s pretty straightforward. You just need to read through them. Anyway, it’s best to just start from scratch again as most likely you’re application will be refused because it’s incomplete.

Thank you very much, really appreciate jt do you suggest we start passing again? All together uncluding mine? Would it cost us delay if we pass without hearing anything from them yet? Cause if thats the case I will just send all my requirements

Refer to the application package. There’s only one application you need to send in which contains forms to be filled out by both PA and sponsor and signed by the both of you. I don’t think there’s separate application for the sponsor and applicant.

But you didn’t send the generic application form for yourself, additional dependents if need be, and schedule A right? Your application was incomplete from the start. It should have been one package only.

Hello , by the way follow up question I was wondering if we only need to provide one document checklist for the both of us. Or do we have to fill out separate document checklists?

You can definitely apply again. With all the complete forms for both the sponsor and principal applicant.

I assume you’re the only applicant? Then yes, one document checklist for you. The sponsor does not need his own checklist. The document checklist itself pertains to the whole package you have to send in. Make sure all forms/questionnaires are the most recent from the date you will submit. Check for signatures to be signed by the both of you.

Good luck with your application.

Thank you very much for the help, may i ask if you know how many days ussually does it take to know the next step? Even if we got denied? I have talked to my husband about this and he prefered waiting for the response to resume sending all over again. I just wanted to cut the time wasted but he prefered to relax and wait for the response from CIC to go on the next step. Which you advised

You always submit the sponsor and applicant forms together in the same package. If you don't, the application will be returned as "incomplete"

Hi, thank you very much for the help. When do they ussually send the “incomplete” respond? I am trying to convince my husband about it. But he seems very convince by his friend who have done the same process and only got 5 months total to get his wife in canada from Philippines

He said “Once your husband recieved the letter for approval of eligibility just like what I had, CIC will request you to send your application to the embassy preferrably like my wife in Philippines it was done in Manila as stated, then they will also be requesting you to undergo Medical Examination, just be sure to ready all the needed requirements in the checklist so that you can easily passed it once needed”

It took him 5 months or less to get his wife to canada
