Hello All,

Me and my wife received CoPR and now we are planning to fly to Canada on April 15-21. I am actively looking for flight fares, discounts, Airbnb for stay, and any other information that could help us make the process smooth and trouble free. I would like to sincerely request for advice from experienced Indians who have moved to Canada through Express Entry.

1. Is there any way I could get inexpensive flight tickets for two? I am trying discount coupons but let me know if there's any smarter way.

2. Is Airbnb good for a two week stay to start with? I have found a room in Bloor West Village but I am yet to book it.

3. What are the documents (also the answers) that I should keep ready for the transit/checks at the airports(s)?

4. I haven't done Credential Assessment and IELTS for my wife. Will it be a problem? Is it (actually) required when we reach there?

I look forward to your replies.

PS. I can't thank enough everyone who has replied to my queries here. Thank you guys.

We are also looking for flights to Toronto for May. So far, the cheapest flights from India that I saw are:
1) British Airways via London - transit visa is free since you have Canadian visa
2) Cathay Pacific via HK - Indians are visa-free for 14 days

There are other cheaper flights with 2 stops, but you also need to consider the transit visa for those layover countries.

Airbnb - my friends advised to book at least one month

ECA - useful when your spouse applies for a job

British Airways via London - transit visa is free since you have Canadian visa

Hi is this applicable for all nationalities? I am an indian citizen and ill be transiting via heathrow on my canada PR. so i dont need any additional visa, DATV?

For Indians, the last time I checked, you don’t need DATV if you have a valid Canadian visa.

Also verify on the UK website at https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa
