My colleague's AOR: 21 Aug. He received PPR last week.
He is also CEC class (same as mine). and he showed POF.
Since POF is not required for CEC class, I didnt show this. Is this the reason for getting late to receive PPR?
(My AOR - June 05)
No that is not the reason your ppr is coming later than your friends,I have submitted pof even though it wasn't required under cec class.I do firmly believe it depends on luck, agent working on your profile and some other unknown reason!!everything will be ok!

Hi All- Thanks for providing your continuous support.I am CEC inland candidate AOR 8 June waiting for golden email.
I am having my vacation plan for couple of weeks outside canada, I was wondering if by any chance I get landing email(which is highly unlikely seeing current scenario :)) Can I reschedule my landing appointment?
for sure you can reschedule landing interview you just have to get in touch with cic in case you receive ppr email:)

Hi,
Has anyone here hired Visas Avenue as their consultants?

Few of my friends who hired other consultants have received their PPR, their eAOR was 4th April 2018.

However two of my friends including me are 185 + days and 117 days respectively from eAOR receipt days and are still in IP2 stage.

Could the choice of consultant affect the processing time?

Any expert insight will be most welcome
I don't think it depends on consultant it depends on your luck and how easy is your case!!!also agent working on your case!

actually it depends a lot on the consultant. if the consultant does not do due diligence and uploads improper documents or enters incorrect information the case can get delayed several months as it happened to several members of the forum.

@bimale4bipeople , @cansha .....Can you please advise on below
1) Is it OK to go for vacation while your application is in progress? I have work permit and visa. Do i need anything else?
2) Can I reschedule my landing appointment?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=248&top=28
Can I leave Canada while IRCC processes my application for permanent residence?
Yes. However, if you leave Canada while your application is being processed, you must meet all the admissibility rules before being allowed back into Canada.
If you leave Canada and want to return, you must have all the required documents to enter. This can include:

If you are unable to return to Canada, we could determine that you abandoned your application. In that case, we will not process it.

You can inform them there's no harm.. CIC says you must inform the following changes after submitting full application:

Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must inform this office immediately:

· Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, annulment or death;

· Death of applicant, dependent of sponsor/assisting relative;

· Birth of a child and/or pregnancy (please provide expected date of confinement);

· Change in health;

· The laying of criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence;

· A change in availability of funds for use in Canada;

· Change of address or phone number
Hi @Chahal82 and other veterans in this thread, my AOR is on June 21st and I am still in IP1. I applied from US and thought I will get a decision by December (6 months). However as I am still stuck in IP1 and my permit to work/stay in US ends in December 31st, I am afraid about what may happen in case no decision is made before that. I am not sure what to do as many things (my address, my work status, bank accounts) in my PR application would change at that time when I leave US permanently. I have 2.5 months to take necessary steps, any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you so much.

My suggestion is to order gcms notes straightaway to get a better picture of your application. Gcms won't really help with the predicament you are in but they may enable you to take a better decision. In the worst case you moving back would have no impact on your application whatsoever. But you will have to inform cic of address change and all. Having said that there is a good chance that you get your ppr by then.

Your situation is more common than you know. I hope all of the people in similar situations get ppr soon

Thank you for your quick and relieving reply :) . I have ordered GCMS notes 2 weeks ago, will hopefully have it by the end of the month. I also contacted cic using webform and got the following information last week.

Visa office: CPC-O, Ottawa, Ontario
Current status

  • The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied
Medicals/Background verifications
  • The background verifications are not in process yet.
  • The medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse.
Fingers crossed, the wait is excruciating. Hopefully will hear something sooner rather than later. Thanks again.

According to me you are well within the normal time frame and there's no need to panic by seeing others getting PPR and you don't.. You still have 2.5 months in US and hopefully you will get your PPR before that !!
GOOD LUCK :)

Still validating eligibility?? Sounds like Montreal to me. When you receive your notes and if you're in Montreal join the thread in my signature .

It's always a good idea to ask a copy of PDF's attached to your file by your consultant to see if HE/SHE did everything right !

I was surprised to see Ottawa as well considering no updates in 3 months, lets see what GCMS notes say. Thank you.

My view is that the process for Canada is probably the simplest immigration process and should be done on own unless you're short on time or have really complicated situation.
