Hi All,

I would really appreciate your advice on an urgent matter that popped up recently. Unfortunately, i was not able to find much guidance around this topic so i`ll greatly appreciate any input that you have.

My question is;
a) Can i travel to another country (not Canada) on short term basis before moving to Canada using my existing passport with the Canada Immigrant Visa sticker and will I face any issues in immigration in my home country with that?

b) Do i have to notify IRCC on any travels (& reasons for travel) subsequent to issue of COPR.

Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

a)maybe share your home country without anyone having to guess so that anyone can share their experience
b)you do not need to notify IRCC of any travel after your COPR has been issued. Once you land of course then if you travel will need a PR card or PRTD to board a plane back to Canada.

How travelling is possible without a Passport? If you say,,, no after I get stamped passport back; can travel? No one will stop you BUT it is not advisable I AM NOT SURE of this as anything changes to your application you must inform them. Travelling out of country causes security checks; is ONE of them.

Yes after getting the passport back and copr copy, i have read everywhere we can travel without a problem before landing in canada.
I have never read anywhere what you are saying that it is not advisable, and we need to inform them.
