That's one of the biggest mysteries about how CIC works. Some files go through in 30-50 days and some are left gathering dust for months.

Before anyone comes and says every file is different and it depends on various factors and so on ... Agree to all. BUT how do they even know a file is complicated if they don't even work on the file for months!!

I think it all comes down to random chance than anything else. We can all pray and hope that they decide to work on our files.
Wish I can have a way to inform the officer about my case.

If I take around 10000 then will they ask for d remaining amount to be shown..Like can I show my bank statement that I have d remaining balance n will get it wired after I open a bank acc in Canada?
For PoF you can show the bank statements in India, Just in case you can wire up to CAD 50,000 to Scotia bank and can show this as PoF as well. Scotia bank has some special products.

Thanks bro' So I can take like 10,000 Cad for starters and rest I can take copy of my FD's from SBI to show at point of entry.. Right ?
If you take more than CAD 10,000 in cash you will need to declare in in customs/immigration. Best way is to take as little as possible and wire then wire it later. I just found over net Scotia bank has some instruments for new immigrants.

Congratulations.

This is what I have heard from few applicants. Don’t panic guys if you are in ip1 for long or status doesn’t changes, we all will definitely get our pprs soon. Our applications would be on priority these days as they have to maintain their 80% applicants completion which is far from considering current scenario.

Fingers crossed
Such a positive thought, Strongly hope to get PPR ASAP as your word :)

Best case scenario is they are already doing the background check and once it’s nearly complete we will get to IP2 and then PPR within a few days. But not sure what’s the probability of that and how long we can sustain with this uncertainty
Hope what you say is the case. Waiting for my notes to arrive to get some decisive information.

Hello Guys,

Has anyone in this group applied Bridging open work permit.? As mine is going to expire in few days, I have to apply before it get expired.

I have download the Document checklist (IMM 5556) and application form (IMM 5710) to apply online. But, I do have some questions filling 5710 form and adding documents as per checklist.

So, before I submit the application. If someone who applied and know what suppose include with checklist and clarify my questions would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if anyone know the steps to complete thank you.

Hi,

My AOR is 25-June and I received my gcms notes recently. My eligibility is met, criminality passed and security is not started. My medical is passed but for spouse it is in progress. In case processing agent notes I notice that for medical following is mentioned "outstanding documents (not requested)". I have not received any ADR and file has not been touched since, July end. Primary Vo is still cio.
Any idea what that mean. Experts, pls suggest what should I do.Thanks.

Posting this again for visibility..

Primary office 60 days ago was London.
Primary office 30 days ago is Vienna.

Do they do this often i.e. change your primary office?

Yes it happens quite often. I have seen this before. It is done for load distribution. There is nothing to worry because of this. Some people have seen back and forth between two visa offices in their GCMS notes. I don't think there is any cause of worry here.
