I went looking but wasnt able to find anything that was more recent than 2016 and I know they changed some things then. So I just wanted to see what the timelines were for people with American spouses immigrating. Even if they haven't landed yet, I just wanted to see a general idea of how long it's taking each step for Americans.

Our time line:
American husband, Canadian wife. Married 2 and a half years, no kids.

Application Received: June 28th, 2018
AOR1: October 2nd 2018
SA: October 2nd 2018
Medical Request: October 1st 2018
Medical (in Minneapolis) October 15th 2018.
No interview, no biometrics needed. Background check in progress according to ECAS

And waiting on the rest...

So what's your timeline for your American spouse?

There was another American with almost the exact same timeline as mine if that helps. Things were flying in Mississauga in May. I see that it's slowed down a little since applications moved to Sydney. By far the longest step is the one between medical passed and PPR. You don't hear anything between those steps and nothing is updated in GCKey. Of course, no news is good news. If they need more info, then you will hear from them, but otherwise it's radio silence there. They are slow to update the system also. I had COPR before they updated the system to show that a decision was made and that background check and eligibility were passed.
