Passport request received - CIC portal not updated yet

Hi all,

Max here, I recently got the request for passport submission and I didn't want to delay the process so I already submitted it to vfs global. But I am a bit worried because the CIC portal does not show any update regarding this. The last change that I can see is my medical test passed. Other parameters like background check is in progress and eligibility is in review. Is this normal should I be concerned about it.

Hi. How could you received a passport request if your background still not started? may i know if your applying inland? via EE? FSW or PNP?
you may also opt to Check the email addressed used by the sender.

It will only update and get approved once your CoPR is done

it ok... once you send ur passport.. and after counterfoil is generated it will show approved . until then stays in ip2

Thank you guys for the quick reply. I am applying from outside canada via express entry. Most of the people I asked said due the heavy load on cic these days they update the profiles very late. But I figured you guys here might have more personal experience on this. Have anyone had the same situation?

As @bimale4bipeople says, your application changes to approved once your passport is stamped with the visa. I got my passports today, and I noticed that my profile was updated to Approved last night itself.

So relax and stop worrying too much.

As @bimale4bipeople says, your application changes to approved once your passport is stamped with the visa. I got my passports today, and I noticed that my profile was updated to Approved last night itself.

So relax and stop worrying too much.

Hi,

Yes they send it to my email id. Sub - CPCO final request. I took the copy of my email and 2 photos while submitting to vfs global.If you are waiting for the mail Its a good practice to check on the junk folder as well cause sometimes this mail may go to junk.

We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 08 Oct 2018 to the Canada Visa Application Centre.

So I checked my cic portal and 4 new update came in

1.Your application was approved. Check your messages below for detail.
2.Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below.
3.We do not need additional documents.
4.Background check Your background check was completed.

But I found no message

There was a document details entry which said my passport documents are valid.

Whats bugging me now is
Is there a message I need to wait for. when can I expect my passport back and the message.
Your replies are greatly appreciated thanks.

now u can see counterfoil numbers in ur profile.

once you are done with landing another new line will be added " confirmation of pr". As of now u r good

Wait for the highlighted status to say "ready to collect".

Hi Guys,

Collected the passport from vfs today.
Got the visa stamp on the passport. It is valid for 6 months. They have also enclosed a PR letter as well. Thank you all for the support and reply, you guys were very helpful. Hopefully every thing goes well, peace to you all.

I just received passport submission request to be submitted in Pakistan, but at the moment I'm in Australia, can I submit my passport here? or should I travel to Pakistan for passport submission ?
