Hello,
I received my CoPR as a single applicant last year, with an entry date of October 2018. I then go married in the United States and my spouse is a US citizen. I notified CIC of my change in marital status and they sent me some forms and requested other supporting documents to add my spouse to my application.
After all this now there is another unexpected problem come on my way. Due to my spouse's unwillingness to come to Canada and other conditions implied on me, we decided to end our marriage with a mutual divorce and I have my previous CoPR in hand which I received as a single applicant and the entry date is due at the end of this month. My divorce application will be filed in next two days and the divorce takes at least 60 days to finalize.
Can I still enter Canada on my CoPR I received as a single applicant and enter Canada on or before Oct. 27th 2018.
If not, then what are my options to retain my CoPR and enter Canada before deadline?
I would appreciate any response to this matter.
Thank you.
