Travelling outside Canada while waiting for PR card

Hello,

I recently received the PPR and planning to go for landing soon.
The thing is that I am also planning to visit to my parents to Mexico in December.
I do not expect to receive my PR card before then.
Does anyone know if I am allowed to travel outside Canada while waiting for initial PR card and if yes, what documents are required to be able to enter into Canada? Thank you.

P.S. I am Mexican citizen.

You can travel but before you re-enter Canada, you must have your PR card which means whoever receive the card must send it to you via courier. The Visa is a single entry Visa

Thanks for your input. The thing is that I will be staying in Mexico for only a month and what if my PR card will not be arrived by the time I come back.

Oh well, u might have to stay in canada till u get PR card or stay out till you receive it. I'll advise you to stay in canada till you get it. It's a sensitive card and u can't afford to misplace it or loose it in mail. Either ways, all the best
