I am in-land application and I am in Canada. My Open Work Permit is valid until December 31, 2019, but my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is expired. During PR processing time, Can I stay in Canada legally with valid Open Work Permit but expired Visa?

Please advise, and Thank you!
Yes you can as the owp allows u to stay and work. Moreover the rev is to enable u travel and since your application is inland, travelling outside Canada annules your application. Hence the trv is not that important.

Hi

I am currently on the IEC visa due to expire Oct 19. I applied for OWP and PR July 26th AOR August 23rd.
I know its unlikely to recieve my new OWP by October 19th so my question is do I have implied visitor status until my OWP comes or do I have to apply for some kind of visitor visa?
I called IRCC today and they advised I have implied status and can carry on working just not get paid until my new SIN which I am doubtful is true,

Any comments would be helpul.

Thanks!

Hi! You are definitely on your way toward PR! Congrats! I am a March 6th applicant and have passed my Medical Exam last month per IRCC/CIC online update. My current step is Background, which they are processing at this time.

It is interesting to see that your timeline includes a Canadian PCC request. I haven't seen this step posted by members of this forum, nor have I received such request. Please share a little more about this step, such as if you have a unique situation, etc.

Thank you!

Hi, what will happen after I did my medical examination? Am I suppose to wait for IRCC to send me an email saying I passed or not? Around how long will they email me?

In-land Spousal Sponsorship Applicant
Received March 29 2018
MED - Requested 21 Sep 2018, Done on 22 Sep 2018 (no reply yet)
Police cert - Requested 25 Sep 2018, Still in the process
Hi, usually, if Medical Exam is uncomplicated, the panel physician sends results to IRCC via E-Medical electronic system (if this system is used in their office) within 5-10 days after your visit. Then, an additional 7 days for IRCC to post on your online application that you have passed. Sometimes IRCC posts when the medical results were received on your online account, as "received", but in many cases, like in mine, IRCC just updates your account that you have "passed Medical Exam" (if you did).
Background check may begin at the same time Medical Exam request happens or just right after exam was requested.

For BGC it may start way before medical exam request.
In my wife's case, BGC started beginning of June while we received the medical exam request on August 1st

Some get the request to provide the canadian PCC while the "majority" (majority is objective here based on what I've seen so far) never get the request.

Hi!
I got the request shortly after I passed medical, and in the letter it stated that everyone who’s been residing in Canada for more than 6 months are supposed to provide them with the PCC.
I didn’t really mind, I haven’t done anything illegal anyways, and I was just happy that something was happening

When I called them after a month to make sure they had it, they told me that every caseworker are supposed to request them, as long as we’ve been here more than 6 months, but there are a lot of them that’s too lazy to do it he said.

Anyways, I’m hoping on some news in October! I go through stages of; "I’m almost a PR!!” "What if I didn’t provide enough info" "what if I’m one of those odd cases that takes 16 months”... I think

Thank you so much for your reply! Did IRCC send you a specific form to fill out via your online account, and did they send you instructions on how to obtain Canadian PCC? I am sure many of us will be getting Canadian PCC request at some point, since many of us have been here in Canada for over 6 months. I just haven't received request for this yet. :)
