Hi All,
I am currently working full-time and my PGWP expires on November 26, 2018. My employer cannot get an LMIA for me. And on November 01, my total Canadian work experience will be 2yrs 11 month and couple days. Will VO consider this as 3 years experience as express entry will update my profile to 3 years of experience and grant me points.
Can someone tell me if they know how exactly does VO counts work experience, on a month basis, week basis or number of hours .

Thanks in advance

Even with two years you will get enough points for PR. What is your CRS?

Agree with @mr.preetsingh but there are ways to work around the system. One of the ways is to apply for work permit extension may be 2 weeks and be on implied status and any experience gained during implied status is considered legit. Cic doesn't like people doing that but still they can't make your additional experience under implied status illegal

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion but wouldn’t I need an LMIA to apply for work permit extension?

However, lemme warn u about something if u r planning to do so. If u have completed your 3 years time on pgwp and want to apply for extension to gain that additional experience that will take your total experience to 3 years, make sure after completing your 3 years u start packing your bag becuz cic will tell u that u can’t get more time on your pgwp and ask u to leave immediately.

So if u don’t have to complete 3 years to get a decent score then don’t go on this route.

This is the approach of those who are shy by few weeks to make their experience of 1 complete year so that they become eligible for cec and then go back to their home countries and apply from there.

In your case, if with your more than 2 years experience is giving u more than 440 then no need to do all this

My plan is that starting November 1st, according to EE system, I will have 3 years of experience and my CRS will
Be updated to 447, so I’ll receive an ITA in the next draw and before my WP expires, I will submit all the documents and will be eligible to apply for bridging work permit, which I will get for 1 year. So even if VO rejects my PR application based on not enough work experience, by the time he does that I will have bridging work permit and would have completed more than 3 years of my work experience. So I can apply for EE again immediately with more than 3 years of work experiencewont and wont have to leave my job or the country.

Do you think it will
Work?

Here is my definite timeline:
Job 1) 18 Aug 2015- 07 Dec 2015
Job 2) 18 April 2016- 06 July 2018
Job 3) 16 July 2018- Present
Work permit expires November 26 2018

I am confused as to how much will be my total work experience by Nov 26!
