Hi All,

My question is for those who have already get the desired score in IELTS. Can you please let me know if you guys went through any training or you self studied. My requirement is for 8777. I am not able to decide if I should join an institute or self study is sufficient.

I didn't go for training. There is enough materials online for you to practice and understand IELTS.

If you have Masters degree or done PG Diploma in some field, then I think you can get the desired score of 8777 from self study which is sufficient to get ITA through Express Entry system.
SithLord is right, you can find a lot of IELTS material online for practice; IELTSLiz and IELTSadvantage, to name a few.

Having said that, if you have Bachelors degree only, then you would have to do brilliant(read out of the world) in IELTS exam to max out your CRS and clear cutoffs of Express Entry. Minimum score in your individual sections of IELTS must be: L/R/W/S : 8.5 / 8/ 7.5 / 7.5 which would require some mentoring, especially in Writing section.
After achieving these scores and if you are below 30 years of age, you will stand a good chance of getting ITA through EE.
