Have you applied to Canada before?

Hi,

I just got to know that I have been applied for the Canada immigration on dependent bases when I was very young (around 7 years old) and again later on when I was 10 years old (I think). My father applied for the Canada immigration and he put me as dependent back then but his application got rejected.

I was not aware about that so I applied for the EE and put 'NO' for Has XXX applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?

1. Now after ITA I am filling out the form again and my concern is whether changing that to 'YES' can impact my application adversely.

2. What comes next (after selecting 'YES') is Has XXX applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before?
if 'YES' then I don't have the file number as next thing comes up is: Please provide the Permanent Residence (PR) file number

If I put YES, YES, then I end up with file number which I don't have.
And should I add LOE regarding this matter ?

Please advise!

U were a dependent at the time and only 7 years old. U were not the applicant your father was. So technically u haven’t applied. So answer should be know. Moreover, I don’t think cic keeps record of things that are that old. So u should select No and explain in LOE

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it! "So u should select No and explain in LOE "...this looks a good idea.

Anyone else can also put some input, as it looks very complicated matter and can severely impact my application.
