Passport Renew

I am waiting for my passport call and it’s going to come anytime soon. My passport is expiring in next 7 months and cic need validity of the passport more than 6 months. What should I do? Can I renew it or wait for my passport call, If I submit to renew it what if I get my passport call then? It takes a month to renew it.
Or If I renew it then I have to update to cic or they will okay because the new passport is going to have the old passport number?

Go to the embassy of your passport country in Canada, it shouldn't take that long to get a new passport. My friend got a new passport in 2 weeks.
